Early
Start
It was a
very sharp 8 am when everyone gathered. We soon got on our way. There were
52 bookings for the 53 seater coach. Very friendly coach driver put us in
a good mood.We
reached Bournemouth at around 11.30am. Members were given
chocolates in
the coach. We showed `Munnabhai MBBS' on the way.
Disaster
It began
to rain in a typical English fashion, but did not dampen the sprits for
long. It was lovely with a nice sandy beach and plenty of things to see.
After a quick lunch, everyone then spread out to explore the area. Some
went to visit the Oceanarium, museum, landscaped gardens, ride on the
train, walk along the beach and
shopping.
Very
Unexpected:
Bournmouth was exceptionally clean and tidy. Whole army of cleaners
were swipping the beach area and clearing rubbish. It won the award for
best British beach for 2004.
Kids were swimming and
building sandcastles, some of us played ball games volleyball etc. We left
the place at 6.30pm. Played Antakshari on the way and reached back at MML
around 10pm. A collection of £35 was made for Shiva (Sri Lankan guy) the
coach driver.
FEEDBACK:
Members were asked for their feedback which were:
* Must do this every year.
* Excellent value for money.
* Enthusiastic Committee members.
*
Thoroughly enjoyed.
* Well organised.
Kids were very keen on
giving feedback and wanted to go again next year.
