Like most
amateur photographers I have been taking images of family,
holidays,
friends or special events for over forty years. It was only when I took
early retirement I started taking much serious interest in this hobby. I
formally learnt Photography at a local college and also through long
distance learning course in Photography. I also obtained the
Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society. I am currently working
to get the Associate ship of the Royal Photographic
Society.
My main interest in Photography is in the fields of
'Street Photography'
'Portraits', 'structures' and
'Landscapes'
.
Some of the Great Masters whose work continues to
inspire me are Henri Cartier-Bresson, Yousof Karsh, and Ansel Adams among
others.
My work so far has been published in Photographic Magazines
and a book. Some of my images have been exhibited in London and Austria as
well.
At present
one of my images is being exhibited at Tate Modern Gallery's Members
Room. (Feb. to July 2005)
Some of my future projects include
Photographing Street Life in parts of
Maharashtra and Portraits of
people in Maharashtra who have made significant contribution to the world
of Music, Theatre, Cinema and Literature. Some of the following images
have been exhibited or published.
Many of my images are posted on
the following websites.
